Hello, hello, hello. This is Who the Fuck Knows with Emily Rose. I'm Emily Rose, and we are out of hiatus mode, you guys. I am back. I am here to tell you just a little bit about what's been going on with me, and some pop culture news, some Vanderpump Rules news, and thoughts and feelings and all of that. But first I want to go ahead and officially announce that for the next several episodes, I will be recapping the 2009 E!
News television network show, Pretty Wild. Pretty Wild. Now, if you guys do not remember what Pretty Wild was, here's a hint.
That would be the famed Alexis Nyers, now Alexis Haynes. Alexis, well, actually she might be back to Nyers, that's, we'll, we'll, we'll get into the lore when I start the episodes. This show was about a family of three girls, three women, who were kind of trying to traverse the Hollywood space. But it didn't start out like that.
This show was actually pitched as Homeschooling with the Arlington's, and it was supposed to be About the homeschool journey of these young ladies, but the older two Alexa, oh the older two Alexis and Tess They were actually kind of out here partying and living their lives and getting a little wild as it were.
Now there's a lot of reasons for that, that the show doesn't even actually disclose. A lot of behind the scenes debauchery and whatnot that I cannot wait to cover with you all. I believe the episodes are still on YouTube when you're listening to this. So if you want to watch this show with me, follow along, I highly encourage it.
And if you can't access it, DM me. And I will, I will get you access to watch the show. It's one of my favorite shows of all time. I am a, I don't know, like a fallen Alexis Snyers fan. I still really love her, but I also, she's, it's been a weird several years with her. I was an original, uh, listener of the recovering from reality podcast.
The book, which I reread very recently to prepare for this series is very good, her book recovering from reality. It gives a lot of insight into who Alexis really is and who tests. Well, kind of who Tess really was, when the show was going on, because we see a bunch of spoiled, entitled women running around doing the most, and in reality, it's a lot darker.
So buckle up for that. If you don't know the story, I will have the story for you. So look forward to that. That should be in the next couple of weeks. You should get your first episode, but stay tuned for more. Now, the interesting thing about this episode that you're listening to right now, I already recorded this episode.
I recorded a whole episode a few days ago, and that was going to be what I put out. And frankly, after listening back, I thought better of it. I kind of got into very detailed, a very detailed account of what's been going on in my personal life, uh, where I'm at. I kind of got, I think I just, I lost the plot a little bit, and I don't want to lose the plot with you all because I'm coming back, I want you guys to stay engaged at least long enough to be interested in my next series, so I will touch On some things.
And I will start by letting you guys know a very little bit about what's been going on with me and what I'm doing now. And then I will talk a little bit about Vanderpump Rules news. I will not deep dive into it. And then I'll touch a little bit on some other pop culture things. So, buckle up. Let's get into it.
What's been going on with me? By the way, I will have So, if you guys don't want to hear about my personal life, which is totally fair, I don't always want to hear about my podcaster's personal lives, skip right by it. Won't offend me none. So, some of you know, I've been in education for 8 years in various capacities.
I was a behavior crisis student. I don't know how to describe it because it's not a position that is found in most general education schools. I did that for six years in a K 8 charter school here in Atlanta. And there was a lot of, it was very tumultuous. Like we are, the school was not a school for children with behavioral disabilities.
But the school marketed itself as having resources for kids with behavioral issues. So parents thought that they could just bring their kids there and that they would be like very well taken care of. And I think that everybody did their best, but. But I'm not going to sit here and say, I, it was kind of like a marketing ploy.
So we had a lot of kids that had a lot going on that, you know, I'm not just talking about like tapping a pencil on the desk. I'm like, I was sent to urgent care more than once. I was strangled with my lanyard more than once, punched, had shit thrown at me, on me, had a lot of, had to also deal with like a lot of heavy situations because typically kids who are feeling that way have a lot going on at home.
So it was very emotionally draining. Yeah. I left that job in July of 2022, and I went to a high school in Clayton County, Georgia, and I was the, um, administrative, executive administrative assistant to the principal. And, uh, That situation was bad, not because the behavior of the kids was particularly bad.
Um, it was a high school, so, I don't know, their, their problems were different. But the gravity of working with families and kids and especially in a, the school was, Just opening the year that I started the high school was And it was just too much and I said I needed to change And if i'm going to change I need to change now because the way that my contract is set up Uh, if I didn't go ahead and make a decision in february that I wasn't coming back I would be owing them like three thousand dollars So I didn't have a job lined up I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do except that I know that I love this reality television stuff I love film and television.
I especially love television You And I got this opportunity to be a part of a program that I'm still in. It is unpaid. I am not paying to be in it, but it was, it's a very awesome program, uh, that basically teaches you the ropes of being on set as a production assistant, as a PA. And so that's what I'm doing now.
Um, I'm looking for a part time job. So if you're in the Atlanta area and you know of a restaurant or anything like that that's hiring part time, please let me know. Cause I, I could definitely use it. So that is what's going on with me. That's why I've been kind of absent, uh, adjusting to the schedule of this new like class that I'm taking, adjusting to not being in education anymore, kind of unpacking all of that because it was a deep experience has been a lot.
So that's, what's been going on with me. So, like I said, if you guys know of anybody that's hiring in Atlanta, let me know. Uh, but I, I look forward to kind of getting back in the swing of things now that I'm more used to the routine. And then if I get a job, which is kind of the goal of this whole program, right.
To, to get a job on set. Shortly thereafter finishing, uh, I might be more inconsistent because being a PA, being on set, being in these circumstances is not a, it's a, not a podcaster's, uh, Ideal schedule, let's just say that. So that's what's been going on with me. All right, next up Vanderpump Rules news I'm gonna just get through these main news topics and First of all, Jax and Brittany.
Jax went to mental health treatment personally allegedly in my opinion I think he was in rehab for drugs and alcohol, but I can't verify that. When he came out of rehab, Brittany filed for divorce. Now there's some, there's some convo online. Did she really file for divorce then? Or did she file for divorce a long time ago and they're saving it for cameras?
Cause the Valley is filming right now. In my personal opinion, I actually said this a long time ago. I think they've been separated. I think they were separated over COVID and the reason they got quote unquote back together is for The cameras for the valley and then they have opened their lives up to what let us watch their marriage fail.
And if they, if I'm right about that and they really did that, then kudos to them, honestly, because it has been a wild ride. So I don't know. I don't know. I think it looks like she legitimately did file for divorce. Like. Immediately after he got out, which means it would be for cam or on camera. So we'll see if we get to see that.
That's an interesting tidbit. Uh, Stassi Schroeder, who you all know I cannot fucking stand, who has never been accountable for her, uh, racist or malignant actions in her life, she is back on Bravo. So Bravo's performative bullshit is officially Well, I guess she's not tech technically she's on Hulu, and technically she's got her own spinoff, and I don't think that spinoff is on Bravo.
Regardless, she's back, you guys know how I feel about her, like, the way that she handled Faith's situation, her apology, she, and I know it's not for us to judge apologies, we'll get into that later, Ms. Brooke, um, But I, I think that there is, for me, if I'm hoping for change in a person as a white woman, obviously, but if I'm hoping for change in a person's actions when it comes to racism, Step one, you gotta say, hey, what I did was racist, or what I said was racist.
You gotta at least admit that. Stassi's never done that, and I just, something about her rubs me the wrong way. To each their own. I'm not here to judge anybody for liking or not liking her. That's just how I feel about that. Let's see what else has been going on in the Vanderverse. Man, I gotta talk, the subreddits, really out of control.
They're all really out of control. Um, um, I just think, I, I yearn for a time when we could just be mad at everybody all the time and there was not this implicit need of the fandom to, like, evaluate everyone's responses and categorize them and, like, it just, basically what I'm saying is if Stassi Schroeder's back on the TV, like, I can say that I don't fucking like Katie Maloney, you know, like I just it feels odd And i've been complaining about this guys for months and I know you're tired of it.
I'm kind of tired of myself I took a long break from the subreddit. I felt really good Then I got back in and I kind of went a little ham. I'm not gonna lie. I was in the comments I was like y'all look Fuckin foolish. A good example is, a fan went to Ariana's Chicago show. And Katie and Dana were there, and Katie was The fan wanted to say hey to Katie or something.
And Katie was like, I don't want to though, like, rude. Very rude. Outwardly rude. To where Dana, like, said something like, Oh, come on. You can do it. Like, it was clear Katie was not having it. And the fan was like, Well, it's okay. I'm not entitled to her time. Blah, blah, blah. You know, like Chapel Rowan said. My whole thing was, first of all, These Vanderpump Rules cast members are no Chapel Rowan.
Okay? We are not going to sit here and compare Katie Maloney to Chapel Rowan As far as the way that we should approach them. You should never be nasty to celebrities. Chapel was, Chapel Rowan was upset and made a TikTok series, understandably so, based around an interaction where she was in public. She was on the phone.
I think she said with her therapist, she was crying. And someone came up to her in the midst of that. situation while she's on the phone crying talking about can I get a picture or I love you or something like that and it made her uncomfortable and then apparently people have been like stalking and finding internet stalking and finding out who her like inner circle of friends are who her family is things like that and like trying to use that information to get to her that's scary and that's different than katie and dana being at an at a public show Where they know that this, you know, in essence, this is part of their job to be out in, you know, public supporting their castmate and business partner.
She knows she's gonna run into fans. If she didn't want to run into fans, like, she had every right to be like, Hey, I'm sorry. Like, I'm just, you know, maybe she was stoned. I don't know. Whatever it is, like, I don't, I'm not into it. She maybe doesn't owe that fan that interaction and I'm totally 100 percent behind that but she does owe her politeness You do not have to be a bitch Okay Sorry Sorry to use that word, but you don't have to be, because the difference between Chapel and Katie and Stassi and Ariana and Sheena and all of them, Chapel is putting out a product, okay?
Chapel's making literal art for people to consume. The art form that Katie and Dana and Stassi and these Vanderpump Rules people have signed up for is their personal lives, okay? Okay? That is what their art form is, having their shit on television, having their lives on television, having, having people have access to their personal lives, that is a, that is what they do for a living, and again, I'm not saying that's an open invitation for everybody to come out and harass them, but I am saying that whereas Chapel's art Is the, maybe conduit's not the right word, but that is the vessel for which we know Chapel.
If Chapel were not making art, she would not be a public figure. But because people love her music, she is. She's also been in the game for a long time and this fame, sudden surge of fame is very, very new. Katie has been in the game for a long time and her fame is not new. Okay, this is not a new thing for her.
So maybe people really liking her is new, but her actual fame is not new. And this goes for any of them. I've, I've actually heard, oddly enough, I've heard that Katie is not the worst in public. I've heard that Stassi is just like straight up unpleasant. Ariana is a gem from anything I've ever heard because Ariana knows where her bread is buttered.
You people, Vanderpump Rules cast, would not be famous. If we as fans did not like you, not your music, there's no separating the art from the artist conversation to have because your art, quote unquote, is you. And if we didn't like you or think you were interesting or entertaining, which for some of them maybe is still to be decided, you wouldn't be famous.
Katie especially right now owes a lot of her likeability to the fandom, empathizing with her, coming to a collective understanding that maybe we had misunderstood her for a long time. That people are keyboard warriors for her. So if you don't agree with the keyboard warrior, and this is kind of what I'm getting into, if you, if Ariana and Katie think that people, which I think people are doing too much online, making too many assumptions, roping them into shit that doesn't exist, uh, drawing conclusions about their relationships that they have not physically said is true, then you need to say something, honey.
And maybe you risk some, some of this fandom. Maybe being genuine, ladies, risks some fandom. But you know what it doesn't risk? Good reality television. Being genuine about how you feel about What's going on online, how the fandom is reacting, how this stardom, this like, scandal, mass attention has affected all of you, being honest about that is good reality television.
Be running around like a chicken with your head cut off like you don't know that when you're at Ariana Maddox's Chicago show, that someone might be a fan of yours. And that maybe you need to come up with something if you're having a bad day. Be like, hey, I'm so sorry, I'm really not trying to have a picture right now, but it's nice to meet you.
That's all you need to do. And you do need to do it. All of y'all need to be fucking polite. Because if it were not for us, you all would not be famous on your own merit. Katie would be a server at frickin Wolf in Tahoe, okay? For all we know. Ariana wouldn't be on Broadway. Sheena wouldn't have a podcast.
Like, let's, let's be so for real. And to be honest, I do think Sheena would have a podcast. I'm just gonna be honest with you guys. Sheena would probably have a podcast, and she would still have some sort of, like, low level pop career, because that's the kind of person she is. She was always gonna do that.
That's why she's good for reality television. Everyone isn't. That's a whole other tangent, so. Don't feel bad for asking your faves on these reality shows for, uh, you know, a signature. Unless you're, I guess, like, asking, like, Khloe Kardashian or something, which, Khloe's, Khloe! Kim! Nice people! Now, don't go up to Kendall Jenner and expect a good response, but, Kendall!
Loki did not ask for her fame. Like Kendall and Kylie, I have empathy for because they truly were born into it, practically. So that's a little, don't go, don't, don't go up to Northwest talking about, can I have a picture? Like, that's not fair. Right. All right. So there's that. Then of course, there is the fact that Jeremy Maddox, for God's sake.
Jeremy, a few weeks ago, got arrested for something that happened in February where he and his buddy. We're seemingly trying to traffic over a hundred pounds of weed between the two of them to Amsterdam. And he just got arrested, like, So, this all went down in February, and the online sleuths have determined that it seems like that's around the time that we started getting some sort of messaging that, like, Ariana and Jeremy were not okay.
Um, then, of course, in like April, we see Jeremy kind of hanging out with Sheena, him and his wife, and Jeremy came out and said, You know, me and Ariana aren't really speaking right now and she had some microaggressions against my wife and he, you know, and it was all kind of blurry and then of course the online Sheena haters are like totally misjudging the situation in my opinion of course saying like Sheena is just like, basically they have drawn this conclusion that Sheena is hanging out with Jeremy.
Behind Ariana's back, quote unquote, even though it's public, it's like literally on Instagram, you see them posting pictures together, uh, despite her, because apparently their relationship, despite Ariana and Sheena both coming out and saying, We are good. Apparently their relationship is so miserable because Sheena dared to be upset that she might lose a friend in Tom Sandoval a year and a half ago.
Their relationship is in such peril and Sheena is scheming on Ariana so bad that she's hanging out with Jeremy because she knows it'll piss off Ariana. Is basically what they're saying online, I swear to God. If you're not online, you're like, that doesn't make any sense. It doesn't. What I think is going on, what I think is probably more plausible.
When this incident happened in February, for whatever reason they did not arrest him and they got his friend on the spot, I think that Ariana's team kicked in and said, We're gonna have to do something about this. And it makes more sense to me that the press around Jeremy, if the conversation around Jeremy is Is he and his wife gonna be on the next season of Vanderpump Rules?
Look, they're hanging out with Sheena. And he's not directly hanging out with Ariana. Ariana's not, you know, obviously gonna be associating with someone who just almost got busted for drug trafficking. Like, if the story is something else, that's a good diversion. I think that Sheena and Ariana are very much aware Of the situation.
I think that Sheena, in some ways, is in cahoots with Ariana's team on this to get the press to be less about him possibly being busted for drug trafficking and more about, like, is he gonna be on the next season of Vanderpump Rules? And maybe there is some, like, more nefarious shit in there, like, Maybe Ariana doesn't think he should be on the show.
Maybe the producers are like, well, actually that's kind of interesting. You know, maybe that's going on, too. But the way that the fans, I think, are misjudging this show, these people, I think is why the last news story is happening. There is
There's A story, a theory that has been planted, and while I do not think that Dumois is a reliable source, I will say, I think, for my own reasons, that this, there is some truth to this, that, There's gonna be some sort of reboot. Like, we're not gonna see the cast of Vanderpump Rules the same way that we saw them in season 11.
It's not that's not what we're gonna get. We're either gonna get some sort of weird transition season and like, really hone in on the new generation. Whatever it takes! Okay? Real ones know what that was. So, Next Gen Vanderpump Rules. Hopefully, this is what I think. I don't think that show is going to be for me necessarily.
I don't know that I will want to watch that show. Um, especially now that I've been to the, to Vanderpump Row. And I've been in the bars. It's like kind of hard to um, It's kind of hard without the original cast to like be attached to it because it's so different in real life So I don't know that that show is gonna be for me But all I can hope is that these these producers which evolution it's not the producers, right?
It's not it's not the PAs It's not the fucking camera. It's not the grip. It's not the electric department. Okay is Alex Baskin who? Like, who just wants to make money? Hopefully they've learned that whatever the hell they were trying to do in Season 8, ain't it. And if they can, like, find and source real drama going on at these restaurants, which, it's a restaurant!
In LA! See, to me, every restaurant, the servers have drama. It's just about, are those servers willing to, like, put their lives on display? And it's LA? And they're working For a famous person's restaurant, so I'm gonna say probably easier than, say, fucking the Cheesecake Factory at Perimeter Mall here in Atlanta.
Probably gonna be easier to find people that want to be on TV. Maybe I'm crazy. I don't know. And I have all this sarcastic energy because I don't know why they couldn't do this the first time in Season 8. That's neither here nor there, though. So, that is the, that is the, that's the rumor. I just, I don't think we're getting the show.
I don't know how we could have the show with the same cast. When the fans have warped what this show is and warped the mentality of these people where they don't want to share their personal lives anymore. It doesn't really matter if they do because the fans are going to assume and think and believe what they want anyway.
And honestly, this is about to be, this is about to be a controversial take. Honestly, I think that Ariana. Kind of fucked up the game for everybody. I think that her success did fuck up the game a little bit. Not, Not that it's a bad thing, because it is very good. What Ariana has going on right now is very good.
What she's doing, how she's moving, is like, excellent, and she should teach classes, but Whatever, all of the like brands, all of the money that she has tied up into the Aria Automatics brand right now, now kind of hold everybody else hostage because all of her opportunities are kind of hinging on this golden girl who got cheated on fallacy.
So, if I'm Love Island, And I'm want to hire her for next season to be the host because she did such a great job. And everybody loves her and feels for her and, you know, people are invested in her. But then Lala comes out and says, well, actually. The reason that last season was crazy was because I felt crazy because, first of all, they'd broken up in February just like Tom Sandoval or Raquel or whoever it was said.
They were on the rocks. They were no longer trying to be together. It was crazy volatile. They were both horrible to each other. There's a lot of dark shit there. And so when he cheated, it wasn't that surprising because, shit, they didn't fucking like each other. Furthermore, We don't know the timeline of when Ariana actually met Dan, and that is a conspiracy that I'm going to hold true to.
I don't think that Ariana met Dan at that wedding a week after the breakup. I just don't. That's my opinion. That is not rooted in any kind of thing except for my own personal conviction. I think that there's a lot to it and that's just on Ariana's side. The only reason that I'm targeting quote unquote Ariana right now in this like hypothesis is because Well, she's the one that has all the money.
So yeah, if I'm Love Island, I'm going to incentivize everyone else to like, keep their mouth shut. If I'm Duracell, I'm going to incentivize people to keep their mouth shut, which is a little different. Cause that was more of a one off, but like. You know what I'm saying? So, there's, there's that. Um, We'll see, I guess.
I saw somewhere that Katie said that they're fixing to film. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe we'll get a sandwich. Sandwich Queen show. Which, I, I can't even get into the, the an of it all. Like, it's, there's a lot, like, Sandoval's girlfriend, is out here. And let me just say this. I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna stand on it, okay?
Okay. Victoria, Tom Sandoval's girlfriend, went on Rachel Leavis Podcast page, her Instagram, where she posted a promo for her newest podcast, where Rachel's talking about Jax in his treatment center of sorts. Okay? I have no idea what Rachel said on that podcast. I wasn't planning on listening. It is, to me, in line with something that Rachel would comment on because she Was in a toxic relationship.
She's been around these people. She went to treatment. Like, it makes sense for me, to me, why she would comment on this. Do I find it interesting and do I need her opinion? Not really. I was never going to listen to that podcast. I haven't even read, uh, Lindsay's recap yet. Cause I just, I don't even know if she did recap it.
Cause why? Like, it doesn't really matter. But Victoria went on Rachel's podcast announcement, promo, whatever, and like went off on her in my original podcast. I actually read the whole thing. I'm not going to read the whole thing. You guys can look it up. Victoria responds to Rachel Leavis, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah. Here's the thing, Victoria, bottom line, all of you are embarrassing. Like it's really embarrassing. You, Ariana, Rachel, Miami girl, Kristen, and all the ladies in between. It's embarrassing that you guys like banged him in the first place and every single one of you have gone to bat for this man at some point to the point where you're like gaslighting fans of the show, except for Miami girl.
But everybody else has gone to bat for this guy at some point. You know, don't talk about my man, my man, my man, okay? It's embarrassing. It's embarrassing for all of you. Stop it. You know, just stop. Go do your thing. Be with Tom Sandoval. I don't judge you for it, girl. Maybe things are great over there in Xan land, okay?
Allegedly, just kidding. But don't be It's one thing to It's also one thing to comment on Rachel, because now I'm like, Well, what did she say in the podcast that got you all riled up, right? Now I'm kind of interested. I'm not that interested, but I'm kind of interested. So you're giving her attention. Which is crazy.
But then she went on other Bravo content creators and said the same thing. Girl, you did not eat. You look foolish. Stop. Stop going on these, like, it's messy, like, it's good for, like, if she's gonna be on the next season of Vanderpump Rules, honestly, keep going. But first, leave these Bravo content creators out of it, cause now everybody's gonna look kinda silly goofy.
Capin for you. Cause you look fuckin foolish. That's my opinion. That's my opinion. I think everybody that's like, oh, yeah still like out here like yeah Rachel homewrecking whore like that is not the behavior of Adults to me we I don't get paid to act like that. They get paid to act like that I'm not gonna make an ass out of myself out here online like Calling other women whores that I don't know Stanning women that I don't know.
And listen, I get it. I I dressed up as Raquel for Halloween. Okay? Like, I had a Team Ariana poster. I named my cat Sheena Marie. I stan these people. But I'm not gonna go out here and like, start petitions to like, get them money for shit. I'm not gonna like, try to get Tom Sandoval fired from the show. It's too much.
Let them be messy. Let there be that fourth wall. Well, at least while the show's not airing. Cause if the show's not gonna break it down, we can't break it down for them. You know what I'm saying? Does that make sense? You know? Like, we gotta calm down or else we're never gonna get an authentic show ever again in our lives.
And this, this issue is not, it's not only with Vander, excuse me, it's not only with Vanderpump Rules, but like, I want authenticity from these people. I want, The reality for my reality shows. And if they're worried that who the fuck knows with Emily Rose is going to go on her podcast and like, say like, which say Lala is just gross.
And she doesn't know she's, she's anti women. And it's like, guys, she's been anti women. Lala is not a good person. She's not, she had as big of a hand in the faith bullshit as Stassi. She just had more money. To take care of it, at the time. And in some ways, is she reaping what she sowed? Absolutely. But at the same time, to sit here and pretend like what Lala's going through with her, like, alleged predator of an ex, and the custody of her poor daughter, isn't heavy and, like, very high stakes in comparison to anybody else that's just been cheated on?
Sorry, that's the reality, and I think Lala should feel free to say that. And that's not her fault, that's probably the fault of like, the, the legality with Randall and all that, and I'm not gonna go on and on and on with this, okay? You guys get what I'm getting at, I'm frustrated with the fandom, I'm frustrated with the show, I'm frustrated with all of it, and I'm kind of disenchanted from it, kind of don't want to talk about it anymore.
But that's where I'm at. So that's all the news. I think I missed a couple of things, but I think those are the big things. We'll see. We'll see. Finally, let's get into some random pop culture. First, it would behoove me to talk about what happened with Brooke Schofield. So in about July, uh, mid July, I posted a podcast that I love.
I'm very proud of, uh, talking about Clinton Cain and Cody Coe, who are two men that terrorized Tana Mongeau and Brooke Schofield. And then shortly thereafter, some tweets of Brooke's from a while back, not that long ago, obviously, but five or six years ago, came out. They were racist tweets. Brooke, it turns out, was like a straight up racist back in the day, alright?
Now, I knew that, and I was under the impression this had been addressed. I was wrong. Uh, it had, or either, I don't know if I was like just accepting shit that I didn't have any right to accept or if I didn't understand the scope of it or whatever. Like, I knew there were tweets. I had not sought out the tweets, which I should have, because they are dark, okay?
Brooke was like, as a teenager, deep. In conservative bullshit land, okay? Her tweets were dark. That is shit that she has to probably work forever to unlearn. That's how deep it was. It wasn't, not to like, trivialize any other kind of thing, but I've seen like, uh, you know, people using like, The n word casually, soft, no, no hard r, Tana, stuff like that, that's inappropriate, and there's like, racially inappropriate and racist on that scale, and then there's like, the shit that Brooke said, which is like, Trayvon Martin deserved what happened to him, that kind of stuff, okay?
That sentiment, The, the latter sentiment is not something that you just like, don't, you just say, that's like a belief. So she has to unlearn beliefs from when she was growing up. Now, it looks like she was a part of the Great White Awakening in 2020, which for whatever reason didn't stick in 2016 But for whatever reason, probably COVID and many other actual, there are several, Like, sociological factors that actually did contribute to the response to George Floyd's murder.
Um, she seemed to have had some sort of like, personal awakening. Which, unfortunately, lots of white people didn't think anything about their racist behavior in the past until 2020. And it is alarming, and it is scary and unfortunate. She seemed to have some sort of awakening based on her. She wasn't famous, uh, during 2020 at the time.
So she seemed to have had like the posts about, she seemed to have been participating, talking to her family members, that kind of stuff. And then when the tweets came out a year or so ago, she responded, uh, apologizing ish on Reddit, but she didn't respond on TikTok. And then it kind of gets into like the gravity.
It, it truly like, At this point, it's like, baby, you either changed or you didn't. Like, you're either like, in the mindset of this was really fucked up, and I have a lot to learn, or you didn't. Now, at the time of this recording, Brooke is back on the Cancelled Podcast. And she speaks to some of this. It seems like she's taking steps that unlearning racism movements would deem appropriate based on what I understand, but she has a lot, she's, she has a lot to, uh, to kind of reckon with based on what I believe her belief system was.
I don't think that's something you just kind of snap out of. I really don't. Um, so I hope that she is doing that, just for her own benefit and for the benefit of those around her. She has friends that are not white, and so I certainly hope that she understands. And she gave a couple of really, like, chaotic apologies.
Some of them were saying, quote unquote, what would be deemed as the right things. Some of the things were kind of like, I'm not a white girl. You need to log off and I think that's the main thing. She needs to log off and time will tell time will tell how she handles things so far. She's been God damn it.
I almost said she's been very demure like non ironically. I literally almost said that Uh so far she's been seemingly self aware and what I think What she said that is important and tana has said this as well like as many times as she needs to apologize for this she will because You She is remorseful according to her.
As many times as she needs to apologize for this, she will. I think that's, I think that's a positive step in my personal opinion. Because what I don't like, why I have so much resentment towards like Stassi, for example, is She, Stassi, has the, it's over, I'm over it, it happened, I'm done attitude, and that, to me, is the attitude of someone who does not want to learn and grow and is not appreciative of the gifts that they've been given.
Brooke and Tana have been given a gift. Influencers, much like reality stars, have their, they owe their fanbase for their fame. So, yes, Tana and Brooke are very good at getting on a podcast. They seem to be pretty skilled in business and, honestly, PR. But They owe that to, to the people that appreciate them.
So we will see, we will very much see about Ms. Brooks Gofield. I'm disappointed. I don't, I was interacting a little bit on the subreddit, but that fan base is not, first of all, there's a lot of like conservative Trump people that are fans of them, which is like kind of weird. And I don't want to.
Interacting with, they're so young. They're like young Trump people, like younger, like early twenties. It seems like their fan base is largely early twenties, like brain, not fully developed. So we'll see if some of these like hardcore, like. Apologists, racism apologists, uh, maybe can learn from Brooke, hopefully, but we'll see if Brooke cares about that, we'll see, we'll have to fuckin see.
And I think it's sad, I, oh god, I saw this one TikTok, this one young black woman who was a fan, she was so hurt, cause she didn't know. And honestly, if you're not on TikTok or Reddit like that, you probably wouldn't know, which is part of the problem because Brooke didn't head on address it. And I understand there's PR to that, but still, it's like, girl, if you're really trying to change, you gotta let people know who you were for us to understand who you are.
And she didn't do that proactively, and I think that's a problem. So, I, I, really, I just hope for them both that they are able to continue to navigate this in a way that is honest, for one. Mm hmm. And, let us, I say show us the receipts. It looks like, uh, I saw that they're refunding Patreon. That was one of my suggestions.
It's like, y'all need to refund Patreons. Because there are people that subscribe to you not knowing this about you that don't want to support you anymore. And that's not their fault. That's your fault. In my opinion. Anyway, we'll see. We'll see about all that. That's, oh, there's another thing about Tana. I don't want to get into it because it's like Alyssa Violet is the one who kind of is spearheading that.
And I don't really like her or trust her. I don't really trust any of these people, to be honest. So if you want to look up what Alyssa Violet is alleging about Tana, go ahead and look it up. We'll see. Alright, the other thing going on in the newsphere, gotta just talk on it real quick, that it ends with us drama.
I know I'm late. I know this is late. I just want to say that, um, I think Blake Lively is like an opportunistic, horrible person. And that's just my parasocial opinion. But I also don't trust that guy. Like the director slash actor in the movie, It Ends With Us, if you don't know what I'm talking about, This movie based on a Colleen Hoover book, I don't know who Colleen Hoover is, I just learned about who she was, She's like a young adult fiction novelist, And she's apparently very, like, controversial, Because she's like, uh, girly, popified, I don't, I don't know how to, Their whole thing, Colleen and Blake Lively's whole thing, Is very, like, 2012, Is very, like, 2012, Memeification in a way that I truly did not know was still, I thought it was extinct.
Like, in the press tour for this movie, Blake Lively is saying things like, So grab your florals, put on your pastels, get your girlies, and come to the movie. And I'm like, this is giving, like, sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes. It's giving, like, I don't know. It's very It's very specific to an era, kind of like Tumblr ish, but not like the cool Tumblr, like the lame Tumblr stuff, that I thought died a while ago.
Like the Ugg Boots and Leggings aesthetic, that like, she's really like, speaking to that, and It's very odd, and I think that's Colleen's personality, too, because she came out with like an Ends With Us coloring book. And like, adult coloring books, huh? Like, there's some that I think are novel, but like, that we're not doing that anymore.
We're definitely not grabbing our florals. I don't know what the fuck that's supposed to mean. Like, girl, you are out of touch. She's, she's, she's still in, she's still fucking with Blair, uh, Waldorf or whatever, I think, because I don't know what she's talking about. Then, this, a bunch of interviews come out.
One of them is with this woman and I forget what they were promoting, but Blake Lively was pregnant when she did this interview. She did it alongside Parker Posey and the woman who's interviewing them. I think they had some sort of beef because of someone that the woman supports, the interviewer supports, like someone, Problematic and the woman's like, Oh, you know, congratulations on your little bump or congratulations on your bump.
Cause like Blake was eight months pregnant and she took that some type of way. And then was rude to the lady the entire time. And then Parker Posey who was like geeked up or something, which by the way, I've seen a lot of people be like, I can't believe Parker Posey was behaving like this. I'm like, you can't believe that someone who's like a Christopher guest star is like.
Sarcastic and, and miserable and bitchy who's like claimed to fame as being like an indie girl who's like too serious for all of this, like I can definitely believe Parker Posey acted like this. They were both basically like mocking the interviewer. The interviewer was like, what did you think about the clothes that you wore?
In this, whatever it was. And they start like, Coming for her a little bit like well, I you know, it's interesting what we wore But wow, why don't we ask about what the guys wore and they're like very like very passive aggressive it's really gross because Blake Lively's whole shtick is Being a fashion girly like she's like the most looked forward to at the Met Gala Woman of all time according to the pop magazine So I was like, are you really trying to like comfort this girl for asking you about fashion when the most interesting thing that you have to say about your movie about fucking domestic violence is like, grab your florals, get a grip, relax, young lady.
And then of course she and Ryan Reynolds, who was her husband, which is also, you know, I don't know, it says something or another. They got married on a plantation several years ago. And like, I don't, you know, if you follow me, you already know how I feel about that. There's nothing to say like it's like you're not aware in a way that like it's kind of crazy because you have the resources to Be aware, so just be aware and stop and stop doing this.
I don't know if the movie's good I'm not gonna watch it. That's a little bit much for me. It's a little triggering and it's also like I don't like the way any of you guys are acting, so why would I want to go see your movies? How I feel, but some people have said it's pretty good, so I don't know, I guess we'll have to see.
Um, oh, J Lo and Ben Affleck divorcing. So that's cool. Um, Mr. Beast cancelled. Um. There's some drama with some, uh, Tana wannabe influencers in New York City. Uh, like a love triangle thing going on with some people. That's kind of interesting. This redheaded girl who, uh, went on a date with this other girl's boyfriend after they broke up.
But then the girl and the boyfriend got back together. And it's just kind of messy. And I don't know. That's kind of Sophia LaCourte or something like that is the redheaded woman's name. And the other girl's name is Haley. And Or Hallie. I don't know. There's, that's pretty much, guys, that's about it. You know, I don't have much else to say.
About pop culture or anything like that. Um, look, I am so happy that you guys are tuning back in. Thank you for listening, for those of you who have reached out, for those of you who have stayed, like, hey, ready for the new pod. I really appreciate it. Uh, there was like a period of time in the Vanderverse Times where I was like really down.
I talked about it like the reviews and all of that, but like you guys have been really Encouraging and I'm really excited to do this new project and I I kind of am thinking after pretty wild I want to do some other like one off It's like one or two seasons that are kind of, uh, lost to the hands of time.
Like Ashley Simpson had a reality show that I'm, I'd be interested in covering. I talked about it for years, but Paris Hilton, the world, according to Paris in 2011, it's one season because Paris Hilton is constantly failed at her reality television endeavors after a simple life. She did this one in 2011.
That is so fucking good guys. I. Especially if you're like a Beverly, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fan, I strongly encourage you to go find it. And I really want to talk about that. I want to talk about, um, what was that one that, I don't think it was one season, but there's only one season that I care about that, um, Kourtney Kardashian was on.
It's like Cattle Ranch or something like that. I want to do that. Uh, Life of Kylie. I kind of want to cover Life of Kylie or, um, oh my God, Rob and Chyna. Like, that's what I'm talking about. And, or, and, older. Older than that, even. If you guys can think of a show that you're like, This, you know, no one ever talked, Bridalplasty?
Hello, like if you guys can think of a show like that that hasn't been Covered or that you just want to hear more about let me know And i'll look into it for you in the meantime If you guys want to support me, I do still have a buy me a coffee. I genuinely would appreciate it or if you just want to like comment like DM me if you know of someone that's hiring, I could definitely use it for real.
And if I have any more updates for you like Patreon or anything like that, I will keep you guys updated. I will let you know when the first episode is coming out for this Pretty Wild series and I am just so excited to be talking to you guys. Okay, well I love you and I will talk to you guys later. Buh bye!
